Skipped class tonight

Found out I have to read a 500 page book by Monday and write five pages on it. Now, if I went to a real school that has homework that isn't carving wood and taking pictures, this might not be a big deal. My sister did this kind of stuff all the time in college, and so did my brother. My mom read 4000 pages a week and wrote 5000 pages on them. But to me, this sounds like the worst thing that could happen to anyone ever. Plus I went to the library today, picked the books I needed out, went to the check-out desk, and realized I didn't have my library card. So I am not reading it right now, and I feel like every moment counts!

In other news, I'm writing a paper on road trips and I realized I think I wanna start saving money to go on a really long road trip after I graduate. Maybe buy a twin-lens or something and drive to New Orleans, taking a really long time. You know, like in between graduating and moving back to Kansas City to save money for a little bit. Money's tight.

That's another thing I think I've realized I'm gonna have to do. I thought I'd want to move South right after school, but I'm realizing I'd rather live in KC and play in bands with people I had planned to before I moved away. Finish some business. Make some money. Have a dog. Take 'er easy. That sounds goddamn amazing.

I'm coming home for Thanksgiving! I can't wait!

Love, Libby
