Life is so weird.

Chicks suck. Why do they have to keep proving that to me?

Going home and playing a show with Crap Corps, and having my best friends visit Chicago, is exactly what I needed. I really wish Megan coulda come, too. The Kaijo burger from Kuma's is my favorite so far, (bleu cheese, bacon, and frizzled onions) and I watched Alex almost cry because of the macaroni & cheese we shared. I felt that, man. I felt that. And i went in the lake for the first time.

I have the very greatest best friends in the world. I am so lucky. I have been learning life lessons left and right over the past few months, and I can't say it's fun. But it certainly has made me feel more grown up. Yeah, like THAT is ever fucking fun. Damn it. But good things come with the bad, so it's not exactly a shit storm. But it's never ACTUALLY a shit storm, is it? Nothing is fucked here.

Anyway, I'm in California with my family and it's been pretty fun so far. My Opa is the greatest. In fact, my entire family pretty much rules. Once again, I am so lucky. My Opa helps me remember to keep my head on straight, remember who I am.

And in the words of Destiny's Child, I am not the one to sit around and be played.
